Lata Mangeshkar Tests Positive For COVID- 19, Legendary Singer Admitted To ICU-Report
With a sudden spike in Covid 19 cases, many Bollywood celebrities have contracted Coronavirus. Recently singer Arijit Singh, Khushi Kapoor, Sussanne Khan, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar and veteran actress Nafisa Ali Sodhi have tested positive for Covid. Now, according to the latest reports, legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar has also been diagnosed positive for the novel virus.

As per the News18 report, Lata Mangeshkar, on Tuesday, was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai after she tested positive for Covid-19. She is currently undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU) of Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital. Lata’s niece Rachna confirmed the news to ANI and said that the singer has mild symptoms. She was quoted saying, "She is doing fine; has been kept in ICU only for precautionary reasons considering her age. Please respect our privacy and keep Didi in your prayers.”




Talking about her achievements, Lata Mangeshkar, who is known as 'Nightingale of India', is a recipient of many prestigious national and international awards. She was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and France's highest civilian award, Officer of the Legion of Honour. In 2001, she had won India's highest civilian honour Bharat Ratna.

Meanwhile, a few hours ago Hrithik Roshan's former wife Sussanne shared on her Instagram that she has tested positive for Omicron. Her post read, “After dodging Covid-19 for 2 years, In the 3rd year of 2022 the stubborn Omicron variant has finally infiltrated my immune system. I tested positive last night. Please be safe and take care of yourselves diligently. This is a very contagious one. #Willfightthis #omicronvariant #covid2022doesnotwelcomeyou.”
